Crochet Hook
Aluminium hooks are lightweight (won’t break easily like plastic hook), with smooth, snag-free tip.
Yarn
Acrylic yarns are affordable, widely available, durable, and washable. A great practise yarn for beginners.
Yarn Cutter
Yarn cutter is lightweight and compact, easier to cut threads/yarns compared to normal scissor. Choose one with cover for safety.
Tape Measure
A retractable measuring tape helps make tasks quicker, while taking up minimal space in your toolbox.
Needle
Choose one with big hole enough to thread thick yarns easily without getting stick. I recommend bend tip needle for easier hook.
Stitch Marker
Invest in colorful stitch markers with reliable locking closures (to avoid the markers falling off the stitch)
