5 Instagram crochet influencers that I admired

Hey, it’s my birthday today. So I feel it best to list down 5 of my favorite crocheter on Instagram. Who knows, maybe I will have some luck, and one of them will send me a free gift from their products!

Soooo, as a crochet enthusiast, I’ve had the pleasure of following some incredible crochet influencers over the years. These talented women (and one man!) have inspired me with their creativity and helped me to improve my own skills. From amigurumi to intricate lace projects, these inspiring individuals have opened up a world of possibilities to explore.

Toni Lipsey (@tlyarncrafts)

Toni Lipsey from TL Yarn Crafts is a designer, instructor, and author behind TL Yarn Crafts.

She has 179k Instagram followers, and her account features a variety of crochet projects.

Her feed is full of bright, cheerful colors and textures, with plenty of tutorials to follow along. She has designed chic and practical crochet patterns for all levels, making it easy to jump in and create something beautiful! On her blog, you can check out her free patterns (scarf, tote bag, simple vest).

Toni Lipsey

She advocates Tunisian crochet and often posts helpful videos to guide you through your projects. She has published a book, The Ultimate Guide to Tunisian Crochet. I have never tried Tunisian Crochet before, but she inspires me to try one. This will be one of my crochet goals this year!

Stephanie (@allaboutami)

When I first followed her Instagram, I thought her name was Amy. But it turns out the “Ami” is referring to amigurumi. From her blog, I discover the world of amigurumi. Stephanie is the mastermind behind All About Ami, a blog and business filled with colorful and quirky amigurumi designs. She is a master of creating patterns that capture the personality of each character she crochets.

She has been featured in the magazine publications and blogs such as crochet Now, Simply Crochet, #crochet magazine, and many more.

She has 166k followers on her Instagram page. Her Instagram page features her work and also provides tips and tricks for making your own amigurumi creations. Follow her to keep up with what she’s making, get inspired by her creations, and learn everything you need to know about amigurumi.

Dasha (deynacrochet)

Daria Getrich is a photographer cum master crochet in the jewelry category. Her skill in bead crochet is just amazing, and she makes all kinds of jewelry pieces, from necklaces to earrings. I have not seen many bead crochet jewelry designers, so this is a rare treat.

Her account has over 54k followers, and her feed is filled with stunning jewelry pieces she created from bead crochet. She shares her works and passion for bead crochet through her Instagram page. She also posts photos of her works in progress, which can be pretty inspiring to watch.

She sells jewelry patterns and kits at her Etsy store. The jewelry designs she created are so unique and beautiful. She really inspires me to try bead crochet as well (which I haven’t started any project yet!). If you’re looking for inspiration or are interested in learning bead crochet, be sure to check out her account!

Vincent Green-Hite (@knot.bad)

My favorite guy to follow is Vincent from Knot.bad! When I first stumbled upon his Instagram, I was surprised to see he was crocheting with his punk, heavy metal looking. Not just the crocheting, I was even amazed at his products; super cute amigurumi.

He loves crochet so much that he even becomes Yarn Punk’s voice and creator. What is that? Yarn Punk is a fiber crafter community that loves crochet, knitting, and creative things.

His Instagram page has over 206k followers, and he has already published his book titled Knot Bad Amigurumi. His inspiration comes from pop cultures like animes, movies, cartoons, and more. He shares many tips and tricks to help you create your own amigurumi pieces. It’s an account that genuinely stands out from the crowd, and I highly recommend checking it out!

Mary Castro (@marycrochee)

Mary Castro is a dresses crochet designer, and her Instagram page showcases her vibrant designs. She has 173k followers and counting. Mary specializes in crocheting dresses with all kinds of colors and textures. Looking at her Instagram feed, I can see the intricate details she puts in to create beautiful dresses. If I were still single and looking for a wedding dress, this would be one of my inspirations (and probably reach out to her to design my dress!).

She inspires me to try different crochet stitches and explore texture. I love how she incorporates classic and modern crochet techniques in her work.

She also provided tutorials and classes to design and create dresses and blouses. Though I don’t understand since her page is most in Portuguese, but hey, a picture says a thousand words!

Phew! I hope 5 is enough to get inspiration.
